  • Fifth Win Adds to Overall Pro Lite Points Lead

Fort Mill, S.C. - (August 15, 2016)  Jerett Brooks added to his overall points lead in Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Pro Lite racing by winning Round 11 on Saturday in Sparks, NV. His continued dominance in short-course racing during the 2016 season has been impressive. Brooks, on a set of street-legal Grabber MTs, has proven to be the truck to beat in each round of competition.

Winning is not something that Jerett Brooks takes for granted.

“I’m always stoked to win, and the Grabber MT continues to hook up at every race and help me do so. Because the track was so dry at Wild West Motorsports Park and the officials were constantly watering it down, we set the truck up and grooved our Grabber MTs for later in the race when the track would dry out and the blue grooves would start to appear. That certainly helped later in the race, keeping me in the lead right through the checkered flag,” stated Brooks.

Travis Roffler, director of marketing at General Tire, knows how hard it is to win.  However, a championship in LOORRS Pro Lite this season from the young Team GT  driver would be a great accomplishment.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with Jerett Brooks’ season. Another win for Brooks in Pro Lite—the only short-course truck class to utilize off-the-shelf tires—further proves how well our Grabber MT hooks up," said Roffler.  “The final rounds of the season will be intense.”

Jerett was able to back up his win on Saturday with a well-earned fourth place finish on Sunday afternoon just missing another trip to the podium. He now has a 27 point lead in Pro Lite class with four rounds remaining in the 2016 season.
