Team GT Descends on Arizona Desert for Lucas Oil Off-Road Series Finale

 Fort Mill, SC – (December 8, 2011) The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) wraps up their season at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, AZ, December 10 and 11 and members of General Tire’s Team GT are ready for their descent on the desert.  Team GT is led by veteran driver Carl Renezeder who is poised to claim victory number 98 in addition to the 2011 championship in the Pro 4 Unlimited class, which will mark his eighth short-course off-road championship.

Renezeder will compete in both the Pro 4 and Pro 2 Unlimited classes with Team GT teammate Josh Merrell joining him in the Pro 4 Unlimited class.  Four more drivers will carry the General Tire logo on their entries including up-and-comer Robby Woods in Pro 2 Unlimited.  Casey Currie will compete in Pro Lite Unlimited and Ryan “Fluffer” Hagy and Jason Ellis will represent General Tire in the Super Lite’s.  

“Team GT has a strong contingency of short-course off-road drivers,” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing, General Tire.  “Our guys have done an excellent job ‘unleashing the fury’ on-track all year and we’re looking forward to another great race at the upcoming LOORRS finale.  It would be great for Team GT to cap off the year with a championship and a few more podiums.”
