“Ballistic” BJ Baldwin Leads Team GT Into Epic Desert Showdown at Best In The Desert Finale

Ft. Mill, SC – December 1, 2011. In the last race of the 2011 Best In The Desert Series, the TransWest Ford Henderson 250, General Tire’s “Ballistic” BJ Baldwin will lead the way for Team GT in the Trick Truck class. Similar to the showdown at the OK Corral, this year’s championship point’s battle will leave a mark in the American off-road history books as Baldwin sits within striking distance of first place.
Facing the demon’s of the Henderson, NV desert December 2 – 4, Team GT will attempt to chalk up victories in 5 of classes. Baldwin will be joined by fellow Team GT members Rick D. Johnson, Mikey Childress (2006 champion BITD – Open Pro), Jim Riley (2011 BITD winner, Vegas to Reno), Randy Merritt, Jerry Zaiden, and Jason Voss (2008 BITD champion).

Beginning this year, General Tire and Lucas Oil joined forces to bring the ultimate package of desert racing to motorsports enthusiasts when they announced a partnership with Best In The Desert to showcase the entire five-event series on TV. The events have been broadcast on Versus and MavTV with the TransWest Ford Henderson 250 scheduled to air on DATE on NETWORK. Once again, the Lucas Oil Studios will capture all the high-intensity racing action and drama in HD for viewers to feel like they are sitting track-side for the final series showdown.
